Hospital sees the light
The new Dr. Negrin Hospital in Las Palmas, with a capacity of over 600 beds, is an important milestone in terms of modern medical treatment for the island inhabitants of Gran Canarias.

Altogether in this hospital there are 6,400 single-lamp and 6,600 twin-lamp QUICKTRONIC Professional QTP electronic control gear systems rated at 18W, 36W and 58W.

Within the extensive hospital complex these are supplemented by 7,800 downlights equipped with OSRAM DULUX D 18W lamps.
The high-quality electronic control gear guarantees a life span of over 10 years - even with the immense number of burning hours here. This means that after a short amortisation period the hospital operators will soon be rewarded with major savings in power supply costs and maintenance, thanks to the extended life span of these high frequency lamps.
