Halogen lamps with quartz pinch technology
OSRAM offers halogen lamps with quartz pinch technology for video and professional photography lighting. They are considerably more robust and durable than halogen lamps with conventional filament design. Thanks to patented quartz pinch technology, the filament is now held directly in the bulb by quartz pinch points so it is better protected against shock and vibration. Conventional filament holders have been rendered obsolete.
Quality is improved, lifespan is increased and brightness has been boosted by up to 10%. The lamps also have a patented fuse system. It complies with the DIN IC 60432-2 standard and automatically switches the lamp off immediately before it reaches the end of its life. This virtually eliminates the risk of lamps bursting.
